<h1>the new thirteen</h1> The Thirteen, also known as the [[The Heirs of the Arcane]], are the vessels for which pure raw [[Arcanite Magic]] flows through, and are magic reincarnates. The Heir to each of the tenets of the [[Arcanite Canon|Arcanite Magic]] are the strongest practioners, with a Thirteenth member being able to wield all twelve of the Arcanite magicks, know as the [[Eide|Eide (Title)]]. The Thirteen are born as [[Arcanites]] but the sheer amount of magick flowing through their bodies can be deadly, especially for the Eide. <h1>arcanites</h1> Arcanites are the offspring of [[Fey]] and [[Mortals]], primarily coming into being following the max exodus of Fey from [[Idirann]] to [[The Mortal Realm]] after the deaths of the [[Royal Family|Elowyn]] and the [[The Original Thirteen]]. Arcanites are bound to the twelve magicks of the [[Arcanite Canon|Arcanite Magic]]. Arcanites operate as a secret society among the [[Mortals]], and are disconnected from their Fey ancestors and Idirann. Many sub-orders of Arcanites spend their whole lives preparing for the prophecized return of [[The Prince of Darkness|Eoghann D. Calte]] and a new [[Thirteen|The Thirteen]], though some believe their return to be nothing but hogwash and old-world superstition. Within Arcanite society, some families are elevated to an self-imposed elite status due to their strong original Fey bloodline, believing they will be the candidates to be the [[Heirs of the Arcane|The Thirteen]]. However, [[The Great Migration]] occured so long ago in Mortal years, that the purity difference is negligible. Arcanite magic can skip one or more generations, which can cause an Arcanite to seemingly have power from nowhere. Among the Arcanites, there is a registry of Arcanites and their canon. <h1>Vasraela</h1> Vasraela is the realm of the dead for [[Arcanites]] and [[Fey]]. It has existed as long as the Fey have, but did not come to be ordered until [[Aisling Corrán's|Aisling Corrán]] banishment from [[Idirann]] following a coup against her twin sister, [[Duana Corrán]]. Unlike Idirann and [[The Mortal Realm]], Vasraela has no natural magic generation of its own, and relies and on magic of it's denizens as a currency to power the dimension. <<nobr>><h2>Spheres</h2> The lowest sphere of Vasraela [[Lowest Sphere]] is where the punished Fey and Arcanites reside. It is the natural home for [[Demons]]. Demons cannot die, as they are primordial Mortal fears and anxieties, and can only be quelled. Upon temporary decorporealization and their return to Vasraela, half the magic they've stolen from Mortals is forfeited to the realm. They retain the remainder of their magic, and can use it between dimensions. Upon death, an Arcanite's magic is forfeited to Vasraela, and serves as their ticket of entry, and they do not retain any emblem of power in the realm. If an Arcanite chooses, they can be revived as [[Mortal|Mortals]], but if they were to die a second time they would not return to Vasraela, as their second life is magicless. <h1>arcanite magic</h1> There are 12 tenets of Arcanite Magic. In the Arcanite Wheel of Power, 10 tenets have a direct opposite, with Aster and Dark being set apart. Arcanites draw power inherantly from themselves, and thus can be limited by exhaustion. "Magick Sickness" occurs when Arcanites overdraw on their magick, where symptoms are the expulsion of a black sludge in various manners. Higher powered (but not quite the Heir) may be able to make suggestions stick with training; Hypnotism against smoking, drinking, etc. Aoses and Ashes are opposites because Ashes believe in freewill and pursuit of knowledge, while Aos magic leads to loss of freewill and oppression. If they so wish, they can send too much information at once, creating an overload and "brain melt." <h1>Morwood Magic</h1> Morwoods are Arcanists of Death; they have no life force of their own (not to be confused with souls), and must drawn on other creatures.' They can “regenerate” from recent death if they have been well fed, also known as reaping, but only three times total in their lives. If a Morwood goes an extended period of time without feeding, they begin to go mad, displaying schizophrenic hallucinations and aggressive mania. Reaping is visible, and can manifest based on personality, psyche, life events, and/or heritage. For example, [[Blaine Morton's|Blaine Morton]] reaping manifests as black heatless flame, reminscent of his deceased twin-sister, [[Belle Morton]], who was a [[Greenwood|Green Magic]]. Very meditative and susceptible to psychic attack.
